Life Cycle of Hay

These are things that come to my mind in the tractor cab. Sometimes it’s a several hours process that ends in the shortest story possible (today) and other times I come up with something a bit more substantial (see any other post but this! Ha!)

At any rate, this one came to me and then stuck. If you can imagine the sound of the tractor with the motor at 540RPMs and the sound of the baler making flake after flake of hay, maybe it’ll make sense.

I apologize if it’s now stuck in your head...kind of.

Hay

From where it grows

We cut it down

To wrap it up

To stack it high

To let it stand

Until it’s time

To pull it down

To cut the wrap

To flake it out

To lay it down

From where it came
